Trofeo Lancia: brand new class in rallying

Prize pool worth 160,000 euros

The new rally class Trofeo Lancia is designed to bring young talent to the highest level of international competition. The grand prize is complemented by an impressive prize pool worth 160,000 euros with more than 22,500 euros in prize money distributed per event. Although entries are not yet open, more than 80 Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF cars have already been ordered in Europe. This extraordinary number already makes the compact rally car a commercial success even before its homologation, scheduled for March 1, 2025.

Hospitality Unit

At every rally event on the calendar, the “Lancia Corse HF Village” will be present in the service area. A hospitality unit where drivers, motorsport professionals, guests, partners and fans will gather to immerse themselves in the brand that, with its 10 world titles, has created more iconic moments in rally history than any other brand.

Lancia plays a key role as promoter of the Trofeo and already has the support of major partners such as Michelin and Sparco. In addition, the Turin brand is assisted by two key players in the motorsport world: LPD Italia, which manages the sporting, technical and logistical aspects, and Gino Motorsport, which is responsible for supplying spare parts during the races.

Entry fee

The entry fee for the 2025 Trofeo Lancia is 2,500 euros for the entire season, with additional options for participants who wish to participate in only certain races. This fee includes an official Lancia CORSE HF race overall and championship apparel, both designed by Sparco. In addition, each team can participate in both the overall standings and one of three categories:

At each rally, prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category, meaning that nine drivers per race will be eligible for prizes. The rewards per race are as follows:

Main Prize

Lancia’s main goal is to offer young talent a professional rallying career and give them a real chance to grow. Therefore, the winner of the Trofeo Lancia will receive an official factory seat in the 2026 European Rally Championship (ERC) behind the wheel of a Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF. This prize is worth more than 200,000 euros and will be awarded if the overall champion of the Trofeo is under 35 years old (entered in the Junior or Master category).

All Trofeo Lancia champions will be honored at a special year-end gala in Turin, where the winners of the three categories will receive their prizes. Should the Junior or Master champion not win the overall championship, they will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros. The winner of the Expert category will receive a reward of 5,000 euros.

In addition, the total prize pool of the Trofeo Lancia consists of 50% cash and 50% vouchers, redeemable at the Stellantis Racing Shop.

Bonus points

Each driver who crosses the finish line receives a point for the Trofeo Lancia standings, both in the overall and category standings. In addition, bonus points can be earned through innovative concepts such as  Best Performer, the Miki Stage and Rally+.

Six events

Lancia’s return to rallying has been accompanied by the commercial success of the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF, which is already has received more than 80 pre-orders . To ensure fair competition, homologation will be delayed until  March 1, 2025. Allowing all teams to receive their cars on time and have an equal preparation time.

The 2025 Trofeo Lancia starts on May 9, with the Targa Florio Rally and otherwise follows the calendar of the Italian Rally Championship:

Prior to the Trofeo, the Lancia Corse HF team present at the Rally Regione Piemonte, with full hospitality and surprises for drivers and fans. Although this event does not count toward the Trofeo, it serves as a symbolic start to the season and underscores the strong bond between Lancia and the Piedmont region.
