Toyota Urban Cruiser: overpriced or well-priced?
Spacious wheelbase for Toyota Urban Cruiser
How should we place the Toyota Urban Cruiser in Toyota’s lineup? It is a B-segment SUV. But thanks to a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, it does have a wheelbase 14 centimeters longer than the Yaris Cross and even 6 centimeters longer than the wheelbase of the Toyota C-HR. The Urban Cruiser will be offered with a choice of two battery versions: a 49 kWh version (gross) and a larger 61 kWh battery (gross). There will be three versions of the Urban Cruiser: Active, Dynamic and Executive. Each version has its own features.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Active
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Active constitutes the base version. This model’s standard features include Climate Control, Adaptive Cruise Control, Smart Entry & Start, Privacy Glass for the rear side windows and rear window, a heat pump, front and rear parking sensors and 18-inch alloy wheels. Blind Spot Monitor, a light and rain sensor, Pre-collision System with recognition for cyclists (day) and pedestrians (day+night) and Lane Trace Assist are also standard. Inside, we detect a standard 10.25-inch large display for the instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch large display for the multimedia system. The car also has a USB-C port front and rear.

Drivetrain Active
The Urban Cruiser Active features a 49 kWh battery pack (gross), coupled with a 106 kW (144 hp) electric motor. Fast charging (DC) is available on the Urban Cruiser Active with up to 80 kW. The Urban Cruiser Active can be ordered from 32,995 euros (tax value of 31,980 euros). For business purposes, the Urban Cruiser Active can be driven for a net additional taxable benefit from 167 euros per month. The net additional tax rate is calculated based on the taxable value, an additional tax rate of 17% on the first 30,000 euros and 22% on the remaining amount, at 36.97% income tax. The above information also applies to the other addition amounts we mention in this story.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Dynamic
The second trim level of the Urban Cruiser, the Dynamic, has a larger battery pack and a more powerful electric motor. Power increases to 128 kW (174 hp) and the battery pack has a (gross) capacity of 61 kWh. Fast charging (DC) goes on this version with up to 125 kW.
The Urban Cruiser Dynamic also gets richer equipment. Think seat heating, steering wheel heating and windshield wiper heating. The Urban Cruiser Dynamic can be ordered from 35,795 euros (tax value of 34,780 euros). For business purposes, the Urban Cruiser Dynamic can be driven for a net additional tax rate starting at 185 euros per month.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Executive
The top model is the Executive. Like the Dynamic, it has the larger battery pack of 61 kWh (gross) and the 128 kW (174 hp) powerful electric motor. From the outside, the Urban Cruiser Executive can be recognized by its 19-inch alloy wheels and a fixed panoramic roof. Optionally, the Executive is available in a bi-tone color scheme with a contrasting black roof. Inside, the Urban Cruiser Executive gets faux leather seat covers, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless charger for smartphones and a JBL Premium Audio system with eight speakers.
The Urban Cruiser Executive is available from 38,295 euros (tax value 37,280 euros and a net additional tax rate from 200 euros per month). This version also comes with a 48 kW engine for the rear wheels. This AWD version offers a total output of 135 kW (184 hp) and is available from 39,795 euros (tax value of 38,780 euros and a net additional tax rate of 210 euros per month).

Toyota Urban Cruiser private lease
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is also available with Toyota Private Lease. This is available from € 449 per month based on a term of 72 months and 5,000 kilometers per year. The multi- kilometer price varies between €0.03 and €0.19 per km. That depends on the contract.
Up to ten years warranty
As with any Toyota, the Urban Cruiser comes with a warranty period of up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers. The condition for this is that the car is regularly maintained by Toyota. The battery pack has an even more extensive warranty period of up to 300,000 kilometers (for degradation to 70% of the original net capacity). Battery condition is tested by the Toyota dealer through a Health Check at periodic maintenance.
