Toyota Land Cruiser still a lot more affordable…
Isn’t it cute, the new Toyota Land Cruiser?
Last year we were able to get a brief static introduction and we were immediately sold.
Meanwhile, the new Land Cruiser can be ordered, but what we already feared: the price tag is hefty.
Thanks to a whopping 113,746 euros in taxes, you have to transfer a total of at least 180,995 euros to Toyota to be able to drive away in it.
Fortunately, it can be a lot cheaper, but there is a “but.
Toyota Land Cruiser Van
The Toyota commercial vehicle family will be expanded early next year with the new ProAce Max, but another new commercial vehicle will be added this year.
In the form of the Van, the Toyota Land Cruiser will get an ex-factory van version.
Thanks to the gray license plate, we are suddenly talking about a starting price of 71,400 euros.
Still not necessarily a bargain, but a huge difference from the regular starting price.
Be quick
There are two snags, though.
First, of course, the gray license plate version has no rear seat(s).
So you can’t take the whole family out in the Van, although you do of course have a large cargo area in exchange.
The second point of interest is that the bpm exemption for the gray license plate will expire in 2025.
Then the starting price of the Van will suddenly become similar to that of the regular model, leaving only the large cargo space as an advantage.
In short, be quick.
The Land Cruiser Van is already available for order.
Land Cruiser Van richly equipped as standard
Apart from cargo space instead of rear seats, the Toyota Land Cruiser Van is similar to the regular version.
Its off-road capabilities and 3,500-kg towing weight remain, and you also get standard equipment.
Think a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the multimedia system, a 360-degree camera and a JBL Premium Sound System.
Despite the partition behind the front seats required for gray license plates, it is even still possible to order the optional power-operated panoramic sliding/tilting roof.
