Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition: only 300 units and 435 hp!
Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition
The Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition is equipped with a three-liter engine and manual transmission. Updates to the powertrain have increased power from 340 DIN hp (250 kW) to 435 DIN hp (320 kW) and torque from 500 Nm to 570 Nm, providing faster acceleration and response. Top speed has been increased by 20 km/h to 270 km/h. This was achieved by revising the air intake, adjusting the low backpressure catalytic converter and optimizing the engine control.
Improved driving performance
The A90 Final Edition also has an improved suspension. The KW suspension with adjustable damping force – from the same brand used in the GR Supra GT4 race car – offers 16 rebound and 12 compression settings. Additional improvements include modified front and rear camber angles, which also increases grip, and optimized active differential control to reduce understeer.
The electric power steering has been optimized exclusively for the A90 Final Edition for more direct steering. The driving experience is further enhanced by modifications that create a closer connection between driver and road, such as body reinforcement brackets, a reinforced cross member in the luggage compartment and the same rigid aluminum mount for the rear axle used in the GR Supra GT4.
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
Wider rubber (+10 mm) and lightweight wheels (19-inch front and 20-inch rear), engraved with the TGR logo, contribute to better grip and cornering stability. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires further enhance performance. For the braking system, 19-inch Brembo brakes with high-friction pads have been added, while perforated floating discs and stainless steel brake hoses provide consistent braking power during sporty driving.
To maintain peak performance, a baffle plate has been added to the crankcase to prevent uneven oil distribution at high g-forces. Cooling has been improved with a more powerful radiator cooling fan, a sub-radiator and enlarged cooling fins for the differential cover.
A90 Final Edition in matte black
The matte black color of the A90 Final Edition is complemented by striking aerodynamic modifications developed in the wind tunnel by Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe (TGR-E). Motorsport-inspired elements such as a carbon-fiber front spoiler, canards and a GT4-style rear wing optimize balance, downforce and drag. A new carbon-fiber air duct on the hood, with a removable inner element, provides additional cooling. In addition, an Akrapovič titanium muffler provides a more powerful engine sound.
The interior
The interior offers a driver-focused experience with Recaro Podium CF sports seats finished in red with alcantara trim. Red seat belts, exclusive carbon fiber entry moldings and extensive alcantara trim, including the steering wheel, emphasize the exclusivity of this limited-edition model.
The Supra legacy
Since its first generation, introduced as the Celica Supra in 1978, the Toyota Supra has surprised fans with its front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive and in-line six-cylinder engine. This recipe has remained true ever since and has impressed both on public roads and on the race track.
In 2019, thanks to the strong desire of Chairman Akio Toyoda (Master Driver Morizo), the Supra made a comeback after 17 years. At the launch, Toyoda said, “The Supra feels like an old friend. The new model was born through testing at the Nürburgring and offers driving pleasure that is better than ever.”
Since its launch, the Supra has continued to evolve. In 2020, a new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine was introduced, in addition to the existing 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder, to provide lighter and dynamic handling. In 2022, a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) was added, developed specifically for the torque and power characteristics of the 3.0-liter engine. At the same time, the braking and suspension systems were retuned for improved performance.
