This royal limousine can be yours!
From palace to palace
This Lincoln Continental Limousine was gifted by Ford Netherlands to Queen Juliana in 1978. Not just as a ceremonial gesture, but actually to be used. The limousine played a leading role during the coronation of Queen Beatrix in 1980, when Juliana and her daughter were driven to and from the Royal Palace on Dam Square in it. The car was also on standby during state visits. Among others, the Shah of Persia, an American president and various other world leaders were transported in this ‘carriage’. A car with history. Not only one with royal occupants, but also world leaders. You could be next.
Stately specifications
The Lincoln Continental Limousine is not just any classic car. This is a highly original and exceptionally well-preserved example. It is painted in deep Royal Blue, a color that perfectly suits its royal past. The interior is finished in light blue fabric, giving the limousine a unique look.

Under the hood is a mighty 7.5-liter V8, mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. This combination provides a driving experience with suppleness, just as you would expect from a car built to transport royal guests. In 2005, cruise control was installed to further increase driving comfort on long distances. It can be removed without any problems, by the way, should you prefer to keep the original condition.
In a royal state
In the late 1990s, the limousine was transferred to a private individual, after years of service with the Royal Family. In December 1999 it was purchased by the current owner, who has maintained the car with great care ever since. The car comes with an extensive historical file, including photographs of the period when it was in royal possession.

The condition of the car can be called impressive. Both technically and optically it is in excellent condition, which is rare for limousines of this size and age. Nothing has been added that detracts from its original character, making this Lincoln a collector’s item of note. That our Royal House has known extraordinary cars is also evident in this DAF, for example.
Last chance for enthusiasts
What makes this car so special is not just its technology or dimensions. It is the history contained within it. This is not just another classic from America, but a driving piece of Dutch heritage. A silent witness to royal moments, state visits and historical events.
