This Nissan LEAF has a Kawasaki engine (SOUND ON!)
Nissan LEAF with Kawasaki engine
Of course, it is not something new: installing a high-revving power source from a motorcycle in a car. It just hadn’t been done before in a Nissan LEAF. The owner – called SuperfastMatt – went a step further. He also installed components from a Nissan 370Z, Ford Mustang and Lexus IS350. The result is a significantly lighter and, above all, better handling LEAF with 280 hp. Best of all: 13,000 rpm!
Part gasoline, part electric
From a technical standpoint, the LEAF is also interesting because the car does still drive partially electric. The front axle has EV drive. The rear wheels have Kawasaki power. The decision to convert this LEAF comes from the fact that the battery was subject to battery degradation. In this process, the quality of the battery deteriorates significantly. The car had about 25 miles of driving range left at the last minute, which is about 40 kilometers.
