This Korean brand also introduces an electric commercial vehicle

March 3, 2025

Dimensions

The Torres EVX Van is based on KGM’s SUV of the same name, but without a back seat and with extra space for tools or packages. Its cargo space is 2.1 m³, length 4.71 meters, and height 1.73 meters – in other words, big enough without having to immediately avoid a parking garage.

Battery and charging

KGM equipped the electric van with a 73.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Blade Battery from BYD. Its stated range is 441 km and thanks to 120 kW of charging power, it has a charging time of 28 minutes for a 0-80% charge.

Technology

The Torres EVX VAN is not a bare-bones work bus, but is packed with driving assistance systems such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Centering Lane Keeping Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Four radars monitor blind spots, so parking in a tight city yard becomes just a little less exciting.

Power outlet on wheels

A nice extra: Vehicle-to-Load functionality lets you tap power directly from the battery. Handy for charging tools or connecting a coffee maker during lunch on location. A heat pump is optionally available, so you can also hit the road in winter without your range disappearing like snow in the sun.

Warranty and future plans

KGM provides a 7-year warranty on the car and 10 years or 1,000,000 kilometers on the battery. Meanwhile, the brand is pushing hard in the Netherlands. By 2025, the dealer network will be greatly expanded and more new models are planned. For those who would like to see the Torres EVX Van in real life: it will soon tour the eight KGM dealers in the Netherlands. Prefer to browse digitally in advance?
