This is what the new Peugeot 208 costs

The best-selling car in Europe and the Netherlands in 2022 has received a facelift. Among other things, Peugeot has now applied a new distinctive light signature, first introduced on the Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar and later on other models such as the Peugeot 508 and 508 SW, to the Peugeot 2008. Three long vertical “light claws” make this signature extra distinctive and are integrated into the high-gloss black inserts in the bumper.

Technic

In addition to a new design, the technology also gets a major update. Not only have the gasoline versions been technically upgraded, so has the all-electric Peugeot e-208. 

The PureTech 75 gasoline engine remains the base model. The PureTech 100 EAT8 and 130 EAT8 models give way to the new Hybrid 100 e-DCS6 and Hybrid 136 e-DCS6. The standard Dual Clutch automatic transmission, together with the electrified drivetrain, provides extra driving comfort and smooth handling, according to the brand. The PureTech 100 with manual transmission will remain unchanged in the offering, while the BlueHDi 100 diesel version will not return.

The range for the Peugeot e-208 is being expanded to include the new 51 kWh version with an output of 115 kW (156 hp) and a range of up to over 400 km (WLTP). This more powerful version complements the current 50 kWh version with 100 kW (136 hp).

Equipment levels

The range of equipment levels for the new Peugeot 208 has now become more clear. You can choose from the Active, Allure and GT versions. These equipment levels can be supplemented by various option packages, which combine several individual options.

Prices

The new Peugeot 208 is available from 24,050 euros. The new Hybrid 100 e-DCS6 and Hybrid 136 e-DCS6 variants have a starting price of 27,550 euros and 32,250 euros, respectively. Thanks to the richer standard equipment, the new Peugeot 208 is thus in many cases more favorably priced than the outgoing model with similar equipment.

The new Peugeot e-208 has a starting price of 35,320 euros and the most powerful EV 51 kWh 156 model is on the price list from 37,770 euros. The new Peugeot 208 is available for order immediately. Production will begin in October 2023.
