This is the new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, coming to Europe in 2024!
ASX, Colt and Outlander PHEV
Mitsubishi Motors has been putting on quite a gas lately in Europe. Because after a relatively quiet period in terms of model introductions, the last few months have been all hands on deck again for the brand. After the new-generation ASX – based on the Renault Captur – and the all-new Colt to be launched in the fall of 2023 – based on the Renault Clio, the Outlander PHEV will enter the market during 2024.
New Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi sold 200,000 units of the first-generation plug-in hybrid Outlander in Europe since its launch in 2013. The new Outlander PHEV features the second generation of Mitsubishi Motors’ dual-motor PHEV system with all-wheel drive. The technology was introduced in the previous generation Outlander PHEV and in the Eclipse Cross PHEV in 2021 and has been well received by buyers in Europe, the brand says.
Engagement in Europe
“The arrival of the Outlander PHEV reaffirms Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to the European market. It is also an important new step in our product plan and our return to the European D-SUV segment,” said Frank Krol, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Europe. “The three previous generations of the Outlander have sold more than half a million units in Europe since its launch in 2003. Our new Outlander PHEV flagship is part of the fourth generation Outlander and takes Mitsubishi Motors to the next level in Europe with its award-winning design and technology.”
