This is the new MINI John Cooper Works with 231 hp!
Performance MINI John Cooper Works
Powering the new MINI John Cooper Works models is a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine with two liters of displacement. The block produces 170 kW (231 hp) with up to 380 Nm of torque. As a result, the hatchback sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and the convertible in 6.4 seconds. The hatch reaches a top speed of 250 km/h and the convertible 245 km/h. So, racy MINIs!
Transmission
You shift gears with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Using the two shift paddles to the left and right of the steering wheel, you can determine your own shift timing. According to MINI, the specific suspension settings guarantee a Go-Kart feel. The braking system has brake calipers in Chile Red color with JCW logo.
Design MINI John Cooper Works
The large octagonal grille in high-gloss black with the tricolor John Cooper Works logo and wide air intakes dominate the front of the new JCW models. For optimal engine temperature control and improved aerodynamics, there are additional air intakes with vertical red reflectors. Red or black hood stripes on the hood with a black MINI logo are optionally available.
MINI LED headlights with horizontal, specific JCW daytime running lights provide a distinctive appearance. The rear is characterized by the aerodynamically shaped rear spoiler and black rear diffuser. The centrally positioned exhaust gives away that this is a JCW. The wheels are 17- or 18-inch in diameter.
Colors
The new MINI John Cooper Works is available in eleven body colors. A contrasting roof and mirror caps in the colors Chili Red or Jetblack are optionally available. An exclusive exterior color Copper Grey is also available for the JCW Convertible. The convertible roof is available in black or with a contrasting gray Union Jack print. The roof fully collapses in just 18 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph. A switch allows the convertible roof to open 40 cm, like a sliding/tilting roof. The windshield reduces unwanted air turbulence and wind noise while driving and can be easily locked behind the driver and passenger seats.
Woven surface
Of course, the interior also looks nice and sporty. A striking feature is a woven surface on the dashboard with a black and red pattern. The cars also come standard with a Harman Kardon audio system. A JCW sports steering wheel, an OLED display and the typical MINI toggle bar complete the party.
Market launch and pricing
The new MINI John Cooper Works hatchback and convertible will arrive on the Dutch market in the first quarter of 2024. The hatchback has a recommended retail price of 53,490 euros. For the convertible, you will pay a minimum of 59,490 euros.
