Alfa Romeo Junior
Alfa Romeo throws open the order books for the long-awaited Junior. The brand kicks off with the all-electric variant, the Junior Elettrica. Customers have a choice of two powertrains with 115 kW (156 hp) or 175 kW (240 hp) in the Junior Elettrica Veloce. The Italian EV comes from 39,000 euros. The brand is also launching a special introductory version: the Junior Elettrica Speciale. This version is available from 41,000 euros. Both variants of this model are eligible for a SEPP subsidy of 2,950 euros in 2024. As a result, the entry-level price of the Junior Elettrica drops to 36,050 euros.
Equipment
Each Junior Elettrica comes standard with things like Icona fabric interior trim with blue accents, automatic air conditioning, rain sensor, keyless start, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system with 10.1-inch display. Further standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy Aero wheels, electrically adjustable side mirrors, LED lighting, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors and a collision prevention system with pedestrian and cyclist recognition.
Alfa Romeo Junior Speciale
The introductory Junior Speciale version is further dressed up with matte trim, 18-inch Petali alloy wheels, Spiga interior trim with vinyl and fabric upholstery, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and power driver’s seat with massage function. The Speciale further offers interior lighting with a choice of eight colors that gracefully illuminates the air vents, center console and iconic instrument cluster.
Elettrica Veloca
For those seeking more power, there is the Elettrica Veloce. With an electric motor delivering 175 kW (240 hp) coupled with 345 Nm of torque, the Veloce reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just six seconds. This model is distinguished by its direct steering, striking 20-inch wheels, a limited slip differential, front and rear stabilizer bars, extra-wide track width, a sporty suspension that is 25 mm lower and an extra powerful braking system. The recommended consumer price for this sporty electric powerhouse is 48,000 euros.
Mild-hybrid
Alfa Romeo later expanded the lineup with a mild-hybrid variant: the Junior Ibrida. This motorization is expected to be available for order starting in the third quarter of 2024. Prices Alfa Romeo will announce soon. The mild-hybrid has a 100 kW (136 hp) powertrain consisting of a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, a 48V lithium-ion battery and a 21 kW electric motor built into the innovative six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida offers two powertrain options: front-wheel drive and Q4 all-wheel drive.
