This is how the Alpine A390 is built – REPORTER

Production Location Alpine A390

The Alpine A390 is assembled at the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé – Alpine’s historic factory – which has been converted for the production of electric models and scaled up for A390 production. The assembly line has been modified and modernized, and logistics processes have also been revised. For example, a new delivery yard has been built next to the factory and there are plans for a parts warehouse a few kilometers away.

Other components also from Europe

The electric motors come from the Ampere Manufacture in Cléon. The Verkor batteries contain modules produced in Dunkirk and assembled at the Ampere Electricity Manufacture in Douai. The chassis is developed and built at Renault’s Le Mans plant. Alpine also shops “locally” for smaller components – such as tires and audio. The audio system, for example, comes from Devialet.

The Alpine A390 features an original powertrain architecture with three electric motors. With this, the car offers all-wheel drive in a setup that feels like rear-wheel drive: a wound rotor electric motor in front and two fully independent permanent magnet synchronous motors in the rear – one per rear wheel.

Michelin and Alpine have been working closely together since 2012. The tires of the Alpine A390 are manufactured by Michelin and bear the special A390 marking. The tires are matched to the A390’s chassis and handling. There is a choice of the following tires:
