This 650-hp Chevrolet Camaro is made of carbon fiber

February 6, 2023

General Motors LT4

The Camaro that Finale Speed tackled is one from 1969. The engine was replaced for a 659-hp V8 LT4 engine from GM. Power, of course, is sent to the rear wheels. Shifts may be made by the driver. The ECU has been renewed, as has the wiring harness. There is also a limited slip differential with new axles.

Carbon fiber

We do see an old Camero with quite a bit of power. However, a Camero with a body made entirely of carbon fiber is quite unique. Finale Speed did not color the carbon body, just a coat of clearcoat. So you can always admire the ultra light and strong material. The car sits on 18-inch wheels, with ventilated and perforated brake discs behind them.

Interior

The Camaro ‘s old interior also needed some work, according to the American tuner. The company added a roll cage and a modern audio system, a pair of leather-trimmed seats and an alcantara-covered dashboard. The steering wheel is still nicely retro, as is the analog instrumentation.
