The updated Mazda 2 Hybrid rolls off the assembly line: this is its starting price
Mazda2 Hybrid
The Mazda 2 Hybrid was launched almost two years ago. The differences from the Toyota Yaris – on which it is based – were minimal. Mazda has now given the compact hybrid hatchback a major overhaul, giving it a look of its own. Meanwhile, the car is rolling off the assembly line in France and will be in the Dutch Mazda showroom this month, for prices starting at 26,790 euros.
new face
As mentioned, the Mazda 2 Hybrid has received a major facelift, making it now look like a real Mazda. On the front bumper there is now not only a Mazda logo, but also the recognizable Mazda lines are clearly present.
Backside
The back also received its own design. The continuous light bar that was on the previous Mazda 2 Hybrid – and thus is also on the Yaris – is gone. Instead, there are separate light units on both sides of the tailgate. The interior now includes a larger infotainment system and there is a new body color: Glass Blue.
engines
Under the hood, there is no news to report. The Mazda 2 Hybrid still features – how could it not – hybrid technology. A 1.5-liter three-cylinder works together with an electric motor, which together make 116 horsepower.
