The Citroën C2 – All you need to know
Citroën C2
You can think of the Citroën C2 as the successor to the Citroën Saxo. The C2 is a small three-door hatchback with a length of 3.67 meters. Production ran for a total of seven years, from 2003 to 2010. Then its successor came on the market: the Citroën DS3. In 2008, the Citroën C2 was available in five different versions: “Séduction,” “Caractère,” “VTR,” “VTS” and for a short time also as an “Image.” The “VTR” and “VTS” are the sport models of the C2 and feature a sportier suspension and modified interior.
Rally
A fun fact about the Citroën C2, is that this car has won awards, but not in the area you expect. Sébastien Olgier won the J-WRC title in 2008 with a 225-hp Citroën C2. This is a pledge competition rally. In 2005 and 2009, the C2 also won this award, with different drivers. So it could be a real sanding iron.

Cheap and reliable
The Citroën C2 is known for being inexpensive and reliable. While building this car, Citroën had safety as a top priority. The C2 fell just short of a maximum score in the Euro NCAP tests. A downside of the C2 is the very limited space for people. The Citroën C2 never became hugely popular partly because of this. This then does result in a pleasant price. With that, the Citroën C2 is a solid choice, but there are plenty of alternatives that can offer more comfort.
