The 5 cutest tearjerkers you can buy now for 1 Bitcoin
Bitcoin
With crypto, things can go either way. At its peak, one Bitcoin was worth nearly 70 grand. Meanwhile, the value is about 20,000 euros. So considerably less, but still a nice amount to shop with on Marketplace. So that’s exactly what we did. At least, we looked around and list below the fattest, prettiest and most striking ripping machines you can get for one Bitcoin right now:
1. Citroën DS3 Racing Mat Gold Edition (15,450 euros)
The color of the Bitcoin symbol is orange-gold. Therefore, we think the following Marktplaats find is the ideal car to kick off this list with: this Citroën DS3 Racing Mat Gold edition. The special edition was produced in a limited edition of only 20 copies following the achievement of 7 WRC world titles. Only one registered specimen is known in the Netherlands.
You’ll recognize it by its gold accents, which you’ll even find on the dashboard. The version is further equipped with a lot of carbon fiber elements, which for once are not fake. So you’ll find carbon fiber at the front bumper, the wheel surrounds, the entire diffuser and also in the interior. A 207 hp and 275 Nm 1.6-liter gasoline engine provides enough punch to have a lot of fun behind the wheel. The current owner is asking 15,450 for the fast French hatchback. Then you will still have more than enough left over to have it inspected by the RDW (cost: 150 euros), because it is still registered in France.
2. Renault Mégane R.S. Coupe 2.0 Turbo (19,640 euros)
Another tasty French tearaway: the Renault Mégane R.S. Coupe 2.0 Turbo, with 265 roaring horses under the hood. Renault Sport – Renault’s performance division – took care of the Mégane and this is the result. It is a serious driver’s car, with which you can also have a lot of fun on the track. The French have not only tickled the engine, but also firmly tackled the chassis. The steering is heavenly and you have to go pretty crazy if you want to lose control of this car. Indeed, the grip seems infinite when you throw it into a corner at speed. For 19,640 euros you can buy this one in Utrecht, which has only driven 66,000 kilometers.
3. Subaru BRZ Sport Executive (20,900 euros)
Do you have little to do with French cars and prefer to sit in a Japanese? How about this Subaru BRZ 2.0 Sport Executive? A lightweight compact coupe, with 200 hp and a manual transmission. What more could you want? Originality, you say? Then you’re in the right place in this Subaru, too. The BRZ is the “little brother” of the Toyota GT86, but you see much less driving in the Netherlands. There are currently only 66 BRZs registered in the Netherlands.
The car has the correct ‘Subaru blue’ color and all booklets are neatly included. It has recently been serviced and the MOT is valid until July 2023. You don’t have to worry much about maintenance anyway, because this Japanese is known for its reliability. What Japanese car doesn’t, we would almost say. The current owner is demanding 20,900 euros for the Japanese sports car, but we’re guessing you can get it for 20 grand as well, as you are free to bid.
4. Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 AMG Line (€19,450)
Still prefer a posh German at the door? We present to you: the Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 AMG Line. In the summer, the roof can be lowered, allowing you to fully enjoy this 204-hp Mercedes-Benz with the wind in your hair. Fair is fair: it is not really a racing monster, but that does make it the ideal daily that you can drive all year round. Luxury goodies, such as steering wheel controls, a thick sound system and electrically heated and adjustable seats with memory function make life extra pleasant in the SLK.
5. Fiat Abarth 500C 1.4 T-Jet 595 (17,950 euros)
Almost 150 hp in a Fiat 500, it doesn’t have to get much crazier. More fun is possible: this Abarth version also has a set of Akrapovic exhaust tips and the roof can be lowered. Or rather, all the way to the back. It is, in fact, a 500C version. The compact, but very fast Italian has a top speed of 210 km/h. Whether you should want to do that in a heavily tuned Fiat 500 is debatable, but it is of course nice that it is possible. We would just enjoy looking for some winding polder roads with this ripping guy. The sturdy bucket seats will undoubtedly keep you well seated.
Bonus: Seat Leon 2.0 TSI Cupra 400 HP (20,999 euros)
This one we don’t want to keep from you: a Seat Leon Cupra. As standard, this version has 280 hp, but the last owner clearly didn’t think that was enough. The compact Spaniard is equipped with a downpipe with race catalytic converter, an inlay filter K&N, a dump valve GFB, a stronger clutch and a JM tuning stainless steel exhaust with valve system. The result is a system output of 400 hp. In a Seat Leon!
The owner is asking 21,000 euros for the 400-hp Seat Cupra, so it’s actually just outside the budget. Unless, of course, you wait for Bitcoin’s value to rise slightly.
