What do you get when you screw the doors, roof and front and rear windows off a Smart ForTwo? Right, the Smart Crossblade. This pleasantly deranged convertible is one of the craziest convertibles around. Roofless, impractical and so it basically has no windshield. Oh yes, boarding is also slightly different. After all, it has wing doors. As far as you can speak of doors. Still, it’s not a bad idea to buy one, if you get the chance. Very few of them were built, so it may well become a valuable collector’s item in the future. In fact, Smart produced only 2,000 units of the Crossblade.

What are you waiting for?

There is one for sale in Eelderwolde with just under 12,000 kilometers on the odometer. Number 183 rolled off the assembly line, to be exact. The owner brought the car from Germany himself in 2020. The seller is asking a minimum of 17,500 euros for the wacky convertible. So an expensive mobile air conditioner, but one with 71 horsepower and a set of snazzy rims.
