Smart #5 becomes third model of Smart: focus on adventure

Brand new Smart #5 

In April 2024, Smart presented a preview of the new #5 at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
Now the brand is releasing the first sketches of the production version.
It is clear: the car has remained very faithful to the study model.
Designed by Mercedes-Benz Design, the model remains true to the Smart design philosophy that focuses on three terms: love, pure and unexpected.

Test work

In recent months, the Smart #5 has already had to demonstrate its outdoor capabilities in rigorous off-road and winter tests.
In particular, the performance of the electric powertrain and the charging capacity of the batteries were successfully tested under extremely cold conditions.
The driving dynamics, along with the assistance and safety systems have also been extensively put to the test in challenging off-road environments.
In preparation for its entry into the European market, the vehicle is undergoing a very extensive test program in Europe.
Market launch in Europe is scheduled for 2025.
