Rimac Nevera R: even more powerful and faster

August 26, 2024

Technological masterpiece

The Nevera R features the latest Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring technology and advanced brakes, combined with a performance battery and a power output of a whopping 1,548 KW (2,107 hp).
The Nevera R reaches 300 mph in just 8.66 seconds.
Visually, too, the Nevera R is an evolution: the car looks lower and sleeker, with a forward stance highlighted by 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels.

Lighter, faster and more focused

Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Group, explains: “When developing the original Nevera, it was important that the car be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and perfectly balanced between excitement and accessibility. The result was a record-breaking car that could both achieve performance on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and comfortably cover thousands of miles. But many customers asked for a car that put even more emphasis on cornering, taking advantage of all the advanced technology on board. With the Nevera R, we responded: the same DNA as the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused.”

Fixed rear wing

The Nevera R also features a fixed rear wing and an aggressive aerodynamic package, including a new large diffuser, which increases downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%.
New Michelin Cup 2 tires reduced overall understeer by 10%, while lateral grip increased by 5%.
The lap time on the Nardo Handling Track was improved by 3.8 seconds as a result.

All-Wheel Torque Vectoring

Another important aspect of the Nevera R is the increased focus on rider feedback.
The new generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) has been retuned to exploit the full potential of the high-performance tires.
Traction control has been adjusted to enhance the R-AWTV’s capabilities even in wet conditions.
Drift mode has also been optimized for the new tires, and the steering system offers sharper responses and clearer feedback.

108 kWh battery

The Nevera R is built around the latest generation 108 kWh Rimac battery, which not only delivers more power but is also lighter.
With 2,107 horsepower available, the car is even faster than the record-breaking original Nevera.
The new EVO2 brakes are made of carbon-ceramic with a silicon-matrix coating, providing improved braking performance, better cooling and durability under heavy use.

The Rimac Nevera R will be produced in a limited edition of only 40 units.
