Review – Nissan Ariya Nismo (2025) – Electric GT-R?

October 31, 2024

Nissan Ariya Nismo

Nissan has unveiled the all-new Ariya Nismo in Europe. With a whopping 320 kW (435 hp) of power and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring – Nissan calls this AWD system e-4ORCE – this is no average electric SUV. Nissan has clearly brought out its sporty side and given the Ariya a hefty dose of Nismo DNA.

Nismo sauce

Nissan has tackled the exterior of the Ariya Nismo quite a bit, adding additional aero elements and, of course, a lot of Nismo logos. With a special ducktail rear spoiler and air guides, downforce has been increased by as much as 40% compared to the standard version. The wide sideskirts, featuring a bright red accent line, give the car a tough and wide stance. There is also a special paint color: Nismo Stealth Grey.

Inside: sporty luxury

The interior also received an upgrade. Red Nismo stitching and ambient lighting give the cabin a sporty look. The modern open-pored wood trim provides a luxurious feel. As in the regular Ariya, the climate control buttons are seamlessly integrated into the wood trim and only light up when the car is started. That remains beautiful to behold. In this Nismo bolide, the start button is – how could it be otherwise – red. It is the subtle details that make the difference, and Nissan understands that all too well.

More grip, more fun

The Japanese EV features a 320 kW (435 hp) electric powertrain with 600 Nm of pulling power. Top speed comes out to 200 km/h and the 0-100 sprint takes 5 seconds. Also impressive: the Ariya sprints from 80 to 120 km/h in just 2.4 seconds. Of course, a fast car is nothing without the right grip. That’s why the Ariya Nismo rolls on Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires and lightweight 20-inch wheels.

Four-wheel drive

Thanks to e-4ORCE technology, the Nismo variant has as much as 12% more stability than the regular Ariya. Add in the modified suspension, stabilizers and shock absorbers, and, according to Nissan, you have an electric SUV that continues to offer fun even when cornering.

Introduction in 2025

The Nissan Ariya Nismo has a starting price of 60,490 euros. Nissan has now opened the pre-order books for the Ariya Nismo. The fast Ariya has limited availability and the first 250 European customers who order the car will get it delivered in the exclusive exterior color Stealth Grey and will also receive one year of free charging through Nissan Charge.
