With the Hippie Caviar Motel, Renault specifically appeals to travel-hungry adventurers. The all-electric camper is equipped with smart storage options and offers both plenty of storage space. Not only in the interior, but also on the exterior of the car. There is a large roof rack on top of the car and the roof also features a large panoramic sunroof.

The floor and storage areas are made of recycled tires and cork, making the electric camper extra durable. You can fold the rear seat back, creating a bed. This way you can enjoy the starry sky – unfortunately on your own.

Renault Kangoo E-Tech electric.

The car is based on the Renault Kangoo E-Tech electric. In the bottom of the new electric Kangoo lies a 44 kWh battery. On paper, good for 300 kilometers of range. The Hippie Caviar Motel is a bit heavier than a regular Kangoo E-Tech and therefore gets 15 kilometers less distance.

3-phase charging up to 11 kW is standard on the new Kangoo. In 2 hours and 40 minutes the battery pack is back to 80%. 22 kW AC charging is also available on a regular Kangoo E-Tech Electric for an additional charge, if you want to charge twice as fast. Quick charging can be done up to 80 KW. You can then recharge about 170 kilometers in 30 minutes.

Renault will present the Hippie Caviar Motel on September 19, 2022 at the IAA Transportation business show in Hanover. Whether the RV will go into production is not yet known.
