Renault 17 electric restomod is jammie!
Artistic vision of Renault R17
Ora Ïto on the 17 restomod: “Reinterpreting an iconic vehicle like the Renault 17 was a particularly exciting challenge. Together with Renault, I was able to shape my artistic vision and create a sculpture in my own style.”
Built between 1971 and 1979
Introduced in 1971, the Renault 17 embodied the ideal vision of the 1970s.
Available as a four-seat coupe and semi-cabriolet, the sports coupe perfectly reflected the zeitgeist with its striking appearance and performance.
The front-wheel-drive Renault 17 with its longitudinal engine later became available with fuel injection and offered a range of active and passive safety features.
More than 92,000 were produced between 1971 and 1979.
Slats
The Renault 17 – a two-door coupe with tailgate – had a sporty design with four round headlights, frameless doors, a body without B-pillars, fully opening rear side windows and second side windows with slats.
Based on the monocoque structure of the original, the 17 has developed restomod x Ora Ïto.
The body of this restomod is 17 cm wider at the fenders for better road holding.
