Range Rover Velar gets subtle update

New technology

The Range Rover Velar is equipped with the latest version of Pivi Pro infotainment system. The model also has Cabin Air Purification Plus air purification and Active Road Noise Cancellation. Customers can choose from three trims: the Velar S with accents in Shadow Atlas, the Dynamic SE with details in Graphite Atlas and the Autobiography with exclusive elements in Satin Burnished Copper.

New wheel designs

The latest Range Rover Velar is available with several wheel options, including new 21-inch and 22-inch rims, as well as an optional Black Exterior Styling Pack with black brake calipers and accents in Narvik Black. The rear features a bold design with hidden exhaust pipes and distinctive LED taillights.

Powertrains Range Rover Velar

Range Rover delivers the Velar with a choice of four engine options, all standard with AWD and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Velar P400e electric hybrid (PHEV) combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a 105 kW (143 hp) electric motor, good for a system output of 297 kW (404 hp) and maximum torque of 640 Nm. This PHEV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, offers an electric range of up to 63 kilometers and recordsCO2 emissions from 39 g/km (WLTP). It is also capable of DC fast charging with an output of up to 35 kW, which allows the battery to be charged to 80% in 30 minutes.

In addition to as a PHEV, the new Range Rover is also available with internal combustion engines with mild hybrid (MHEV) technology, including the P400. This version is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line gasoline engine producing 294 kW (400 hp) and 550 Nm of torque, good for 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.5 seconds.

The D300 MHEV with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line diesel engine also guarantees powerful performance. With 221 kW (300 hp) of power and 650 Nm of torque, it sprints from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. To complement the advanced MHEV technology, the Velar D300 also offers other industry-leading technology for improved fuel efficiency and refinement, such as fuel injection at 2,500 bar pressure capable of delivering five injections per cycle in just 120 microseconds.

Finally, customers can also opt for the Velar D200 with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with MHEV technology. This engine variant combines 150 kW (204 hp) of power and 430 Nm of torque with extremely smooth driving characteristics andCO2 emissions from 167 g/km.

Offroading no problem

In terms of off-road capability, the Range Rover Velar offers all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) and Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVBB), which promotes agility by precisely braking the inner wheels during cornering. The system can quickly distribute torque between the front and rear axles for optimal traction, even on slippery road surfaces. For off-road driving, the Velar features Terrain Response 2, with precisely tuned vehicle settings for different surfaces.

Interior Range Rover Velar

The interior offers ultimate comfort with multi-adjustable seats with soft-touch and luxurious upholstery, available in grained leather or Windsor leather, or in a leather-free combination of Kvadrat wool blend and Ultrafabrics. An additional personalized ambience can be created with Configurable Cabin Lighting with thirty different color settings. The Velar’s luggage compartment has a capacity of up to 748 liters and a power tailgate.
