Prices known first ‘real’ electric Lexus
What does the Lexus RZ 450e cost?
We’ll get right to the point: 64,595 euros. That’s what you have to pay off at the Dutch Lexus dealer if you want to drive home with a Lexus RZ 450e. You’ll have to wait a while before that happens, as the first units are expected in the Netherlands at the end of the first quarter of 2023. Prices for Private Lease start at 895 euros per month. For this money, you get the entry-level model: the RZ 450e Comfort Line.
Ho ho, how about the first “real” electric Lexus, the UX 300e then?
In late 2019, Lexus actually introduced its first EV: the UX 300e. That model shares its technical base with the regular gasoline-powered UX. So you could argue that it’s not actually Lexus’ first real EV. The Lexus RZ 450e is an uncompromising EV, which did get designed as an electric car from the ground up.
Lexus RZ 450e Comfort Line
The Comfort Line is already pretty thick in the stuff. You get the new Lexus Link Connect multimedia system with 14-inch large screen, cloud-based navigation, “Hey Lexus!” voice control, 10-speaker Lexus Audio sound system, front and rear USB-C jacks and a wireless phone charger. Standard features of the RZ 450e also include front seat heating, 2-zone automatic air conditioning, an automatic dimming interior mirror, a rain sensor and automatic headlight adjustment for the LED lights.
Executive Line
If you want a little more luxury, then you should go for the second trim level: the Executive Line. It features synthetic leather upholstery, steering wheel heater, power-adjustable front seats, double-glazed front windows, and dark glass rear windows. For this version you pay a minimum of 67,595 euros.
President Line
For the top model – the President Line – Lexus charges 77,595 euros. The Japanese then equip the Lexus RZ 450e with, among other things, seats with “Ultra Suede” upholstery, front and rear seat heaters, seat ventilation for the front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, the energy-efficient radiant heater for the driver and front passenger and a 10-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. From the outside, the Lexus RZ 450e President Line is identified by 20-inch black alloy wheels.
Powertrain
The powertrain is the same for all versions of the Lexus RZ 450e and consists of two electric motors – one in front, one in the rear – that combine for 313 hp. The ‘DIRECT4 All Wheel Drive Control system’ neatly distributes power to all four wheels, so there is always grip. The Japanese SUV shoots to 100 mph in just 5.6 seconds. The top speed is 160 km/h. A 71.4 kWh battery pack provides a range of about 400 kilometers.
Guarantee
Can you see yourself driving Lexus’ new electric SUV? If so, you can order one immediately on the Lexus website. As with any Lexus, the RZ 450e also carries a warranty period of up to 10 years and 200,000 kilometers.
