Paris Motor Show 2024 attracts over 500,000 visitors!
Paris Motor Show 2024
Enthusiasts, professionals and families of all ages gathered at the Parc des Expositions from Oct. 14 to 22 to admire the latest innovations and models at the Paris Motor Show 2024. During the event, 48 car manufacturers and 158 exhibitors were present, found in five pavilions.
A major media event
The press day on Oct. 14 welcomed more than 4,000 journalists and 1,000 content creators, all excited about the return of major car manufacturers. According to Serge Gachot, director of the Paris Motor Show, the event was a bigger success than expected: “This proves that we are able to unite a diverse and younger audience around the car. The show has become not only a physical event, but also an important media platform.”
Testing and experience
One of this year’s highlights was the test center, where visitors had the chance to try out cars from 10 different brands. A total of more than 3,300 test drives were organized. Remarkably, 60% of participants planned to buy a car within a year, and 63% said they probably would not have tested the vehicles outside the context of the show.
A meeting place for industry
In addition to being a public event, the Paris Motor Show was also an important platform for the auto industry itself. More than 25 conferences were held, 12 of which were organized by Google and Boston Consulting Group. Here, experts and professionals gathered to discuss the future of the auto industry, with topics ranging from electric vehicles to industrial transformations. The B2B Village in Hall 4 and the Paris Automotive Summit together attracted 3,100 professionals, and French President Emmanuel Macron visited, along with seven ministers and several members of parliament.
A rich experience for all visitors
The 90th edition of the Paris Motor Show offered a varied program for visitors. In addition to the latest models and futuristic concept cars, they could also enjoy iconic classics, racing simulators and meetings with well-known personalities such as Pierre Gasly and Sébastien Loeb.
New edition in 2026
Hopscotch Group and the PFA – the parties behind the Paris Motor Show – will organize another edition of the show in mid-October 2026. In the meantime, many discussions will take place to offer exhibitors and visitors a new experience that highlights and celebrates the automotive industry. Organizers want to make the event accessible to even more people by adding an additional weekend in 2026.
