An Opel Combo with all-wheel drive
The Opel Combo Cargo 4×4 is equipped with intelligent all-wheel drive that automatically activates in the event of a loss of grip. The power of the 96 kW (130 hp) strong 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, is not distributed between the front and rear axles like conventional all-wheel drive. In the Combo 4×4, the electrically driven rear axle itself provides the extra power for propulsion.
Protection
The Combo 4×4 has a construction with extra protection for engine, gearbox and fuel tank, plus a body raised by 90 mm. Customers can choose from two variants: L1 with a length of 4,401 mm and L2 of 4,751 mm long.
With 48-volt battery
The Combo 4×4 contributes to Opel’s “Greenovation” strategy. The model is equipped with a 48-volt battery with a capacity of 4.8 kWh. The driver can choose between two driving modes (LOW and standard 4×4) in which the torque of the rear axle varies. This allows the driver to optimize the efficiency and performance of the Combo 4×4. The battery is recharged autonomously, while driving – a sustainable energy supply.
Equipment
Opel has further improved the Combo generation’s cockpit for greater ease of use and better ergonomics. There are two 10-inch color screens for state-of-the-art graphics, multimedia and connectivity functions. Wireless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is part of the standard equipment. Drivers can also use their own smartphone as an infotainment system if desired via the innovative smartphone holder; they can then control it via the buttons on the steering wheel. The Combo 4×4 further offers – depending on the version – up to 18 advanced driving assistance systems. The highlight is Dynamic Surround View, with two cameras – one above the rear doors and one under the right exterior mirror – whose images can be seen in the digital rearview mirror. This system increases visibility around the Combo, ideal for complex situations.
