Offroad with a Rolls-Royce Cullinan: who dares?
Delta 4×4 Cullinan
Delta 4×4 is a company that specializes in beautifying off-road vehicles. It was founded in 1980 in a garage in Schondorf am Ammersee, Germany. The goal of the founders was to participate in the Paris-Dakar rally. A car was prepared for that purpose: a Suzuki LJ80. The company now rebuilds a variety of vehicles, from Mercedes-Benz Sprinters to motor homes. Now Delta 4×4 is coming out with an off-road version of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Delta 4×4 Cullinan.
Not-so-standard
The off-road version of the British super-SUV does not look as clean as the original. The roof is full of suitcases, jerry cans and a rooftop tent, ideal for a camping session in the woods. Also, this German company’s Cullinan stands no less than 8 centimeters higher on its legs. A snorkel also allows the car to “breathe” when the water is too high. The Cullinan also has a huge bullbar in front of the iconic grille, resulting in an extra tough look.
All-terain tires
Delta 4×4 modified the Rolls-Royce Cullinan not only cosmetically, but also technically. Everything starts with a good set of tires. The company is replacing the standard wheels with 33-inch tires, with 20-inch rims. This combination will cost you 15,000 euros. The 14,000 euro wheel arch extensions are mandatory. For the bullbar, which by the way is approved for European roads, you will have to fork out 4,000 euros. At the engine level, no modifications were made. There is no need to, as the V12 engine is strong enough on its own. The twelve-cylinder has an output of 571 hp and maximum torque of 850 Nm. Shifting is done with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Cost complete Delta 4×4 off-road package
Want the complete off-road package for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Then Delta 4×4 will charge about 150,000 euros. But then you have something very unique. The question remains, however, whether you wouldn’t have been better off buying a nice Land Rover Defender for that 150,000 euros….
