Nissan ARIYA on a sporty tour

July 19, 2024

Nismo is the sporty division of Nissan. Just as BMW has its M division and Mercedes-Benz releases exclusive sports models under the AMG banner. At Hyundai, the letter N has adorned special, powerful and sporty variants of a number of models for several years.

Nissan Motorsport (Nismo)

Nissan has also released versions of a number of models in recent years that Nissan Motorsport (Nismo) had reworked externally and technically. We mention the 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo, or the 2009 370Z Nismo and the 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo RS. Not in Holland, but you also had a Nissan Micra Nismo in Japan.

Sporting elements

Now Nissan Motorsport has the electric ARIYA in its sights. There will be a Nismo version. He was merely announced. Technical details are not there yet, images are. And then you can see that the necessary elements have been added for a sporty look. You’ll see red accents on the outside and in the interior.

And higher performance

It does not stop at external appearance, according to Nissan, which provides a sporty appearance and less drag. Suspension and electric drive were fine-tuned by Nismo to increase performance. Vehicle Dynamics Control is going to take care of that, making the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive even better at transferring power to the road surface.

Plus tighter chassis

The suspension has also been made tighter to provide sharper handling. The braking system will be modified, and no doubt the electric drive will receive a power boost function that will temporarily lift performance to high values. As can be done in Formula E, the championship of electric racing cars in which Nissan has competed for years.

When is Nissan ARIYA Nismo coming?

The Nissan ARIYA Nismo will hit the market later this year (2024) and more technical specifications will be revealed over time. Now mostly just enjoy the images.
