New Renault Clio on the way: unveiling in September
Renault Clio as a hybrid
Renault has a clear direction in the B-segment. With the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, the French automaker offers a 100% electric model. Releasing an electric Renault Clio then does not make sense. Consequently, Renault will not do so. The new generation Renault Clio will get exclusively hybrid powertrains. The sixth generation Renault Clio will of course be covered extensively on this website, including in video form. So keep an eye on us.
Market launch in 2026
The Renault Clio is one of the best-selling models in Europe. The fifth generation has been sold since 2019, in recent years with a subtle facelift. During 2026, the sixth generation should arrive on the market. In terms of design, Renault does opt for another more radical interpretation. The platform will presumably be a firmly taken in hand version of the CMF-B platform.
Full hybrid E-Tech powertrain
The new Clio is also expected to get a full hybrid E-Tech powertrain with an output of about 105 kW (145 hp). This powertrain combines two electric motors and a gasoline engine. The multimode automatic transmission prioritizes full electric driving and activates the fuel engine when driving conditions demand it.
