New in 2026: Suzuki SV-7GX

November 5, 2025

The Suzuki SV-7GX is sporty and agile like a naked bike, but with the comfort of a touring motorcycle. According to Suzuki, it is equally suitable for novice riders and experienced motorcyclists. You’ll have to wait, though, because it will arrive at dealerships during 2026.

Suzuki SV-7GX slim build

The Suzuki SV-7GX is designed for riders who want a little of everything: fun on twisty roads, comfort on long rides and ease in everyday driving. It sits on 17-inch wheels, offers an upright riding position and is slim in build.

Power source of V-Strom 650

Beneath the streamlined fairing beats a familiar Suzuki heart: the 645 cm³ 90° V-twin also found in the SV650 and V-Strom 650. In the SV-7GX, the engine has been further refined with modern technology such as Ride-by-wire, three riding modes, traction control and a Bi-directional Quick Shifter for clutchless shifting.

Sporty design, thoughtful comfort

In terms of looks, Suzuki positions the SV-7GX between the sporty GSX-S1000GX and the adventurous V-Strom 650. The silhouette is sleek and vertical, with sharp lines and a muscular appearance. The aerodynamic fairing was developed in the wind tunnel and features an adjustable windshield. Together with the standard hand guards, this provides more comfort.

Low seat height

Ergonomics have also been well thought out: a saddle height of only 795 mm, wide aluminum handlebars and cleverly placed footrests ensure a natural posture and effortless steering. Even at low speeds or in city traffic, the SV-7GX feels light and agile.

Smart technology

Thanks to the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), you can choose from three driving modes (A, B and C) and two levels of traction control. In addition, systems like Easy Start and Low RPM Assist are standard. The latter system is ideal for smooth pulling away without stalling the engine.

The 4.2-inch full-color TFT display provides clear overview of all functions, including driving modes and traction control. Via Bluetooth, the display can be linked to a smartphone with the Suzuki Ride Connect+ App, which displays turn-by-turn navigation, notifications, weather information and more.

Large radius of action

The SV-7GX has a fuel tank of 17.4 liters. Due to the row low fuel consumption, this is enough for a considerable range of up to 400 km. The integrated luggage rack and optional pannier set make the bike suitable for weekend trips and daily commuting. The suspension is comfortable with 125 mm suspension travel at the front and 129 mm at the rear. The rear suspension is adjustable in seven positions.

Color, warranty and premiere

The new Suzuki SV-7GX appears in three colors: Pearl Brilliant White / Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Matte Greige with red accents and Glass Sparkle Black with blue details.

Like all new Suzukis, the SV-7GX comes with a 6-year warranty and 6 years of roadside assistance. The Dutch premiere will take place at the Motorbeurs Utrecht from February 19-22, 2026, where the SV-7GX can be admired live for the first time. Prices will be announced just before the market launch in the summer of 2026.
