New hybrid powertrain and versions for DS 4

2024 is an exciting year for DS Automobiles. The brand is introducing several all-electric models. But it’s not that far off now. The brand will first come out with a new hybrid powertrain for the DS 4, replacing the outgoing PureTech 130 Automatic. The new DS 4 HYBRID is also the first DS model to be available as PALLAS and ÉTOILE, DS Automobiles’ new equipment levels.

DS 4 HYBRID

The HYBRID powertrain of the new DS 4 HYBRID consists of a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with a swept volume of 1,199 cc, an output of 100 kW (136 hp) and 230 Nm of pulling power from 1,750 rpm. The DS 4 HYBRID accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds. That is 1.2 seconds faster compared to the outgoing PureTech 130 Automatic gasoline engine.

Electric driving

Shifting is done with a new e-DCS6 six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to the brand, compared to the outgoing PureTech 130 Automatic powertrain, the new DS 4 HYBRID is not only significantly quieter, but also much more fuel efficient. For example, the car needs 1.1 liters less fuel to travel 100 kilometers. In urban traffic, the energy gains are even greater, and it is possible to drive electric over 50% of the time in city traffic.

The starting price of the DS 4 HYBRID is €42,090 road-ready. The car is available as PALLAS and ÉTOILE. These new equipment levels will eventually replace DS Automobiles’ current versions.

DS 4 HYBRID PALLAS: from €42,090 (road-ready)

In the DS 4 HYBRID PALLAS, the interior is finished in Diamond Tungsten Fabric with Black DS Canvas with a new stitching pattern on the seat and backrest. It has acoustically laminated front side windows and the Clean Cabin system with the “Air Quality System” and accompanying two-zone automatic air conditioning. The car also has Adaptive Cruise Control Stop & Go, Lane Departure Warning and front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera.

DS 4 HYBRID ÉTOILE: from €46,740 (road-ready)

The DS 4 HYBRID ÉTOILE is available with a choice of two interiors in Black Alcantara with new stitching or Criollo Brown Nappa leather with the watchband motif typical of DS and seat heating. The ÉTOILE also has power seats, the DS IRIS SYSTEM infotainment with DS SMART TOUCH and the DS Extended Head-Up Display. It also has DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights, tinted rear windows with acoustically laminated side windows and the Rear Traffic Detection Pack.
