Motorhouse new dealer for KGM and Isuzu

December 9, 2024

Motorhuis is the new partner of Astara Netherlands as an authorized dealer for the car brands KGM and Isuzu. Both brands will be represented from the Motorhuis location in Delfgauw. This location is central and easily accessible in the Delft and The Hague region.

“Motorhuis is an important and strong partner to put KGM and Isuzu on the map. The premises in Delfgauw have a nice and professional appearance and the location fits well with the dealer network of both brands,” said Lou Jedeloo, Country Manager at Astara Netherlands. “Motorhuis is particularly service- and customer-oriented and has a lot of experience in the field of retail and new mobility concepts in the automotive sector. The professionalism and ambition of the long-established car company fit seamlessly with those of Astara Netherlands. With this new dealership we increase the customer reach of KGM and Isuzu in this region and are assured of a progressive partner in sales and after sales.”

Motorhuis brings KGM and Isuzu together under one roof in its branch at Exportweg 3 in Delfgauw. Hans Stuivenberg, Director of Sales at Motorhuis said, “KGM and Isuzu are a valuable addition to our portfolio. As a retailer of Stellantis, with its large range of brands, we know how important it is to properly highlight the values of each individual brand to customers. KGM’s all-electric Torres EVX is an affordable Korean quality product. For Isuzu’s pickup, with its high towing weight, we expect a lot of interest from various companies in this part of the Netherlands. We have great confidence in the growth of these brands.”

Motor Housing

Motorhuis started in Leiden in 1919 as ‘Het Motorhuis’. The company has a long track record and has grown into one of the larger car dealerships with several showrooms and service centers in the western part of the Netherlands. Customer-friendly service, enthusiasm and passion for the car trade are important spearheads to which success is owed.

Astara Netherlands

KGM and Isuzu are imported and distributed by Astara in the Netherlands. The organization is part of Astara Group, a leading international player in the mobility industry with over thirty car brands in its portfolio and active in nineteen countries across three continents. Astara has now proven itself in successfully introducing new brands to the market, including KGM (formerly SsangYong). The appointment of Motorhuis as an authorized dealer in Delfgauw marks an important step in the further development of a nationwide dealer network. This currently includes six dealerships. The network is expected to grow to at least 10 KGM dealerships by the end of Q1 2025. With the arrival of Motorhuis, there are now eleven Isuzu dealers in the Netherlands.

KGM and Isuzu

Korean KGM, which has been active as an automaker since 1954, this year introduced the 100% electric Torres EVX, an adventurous and very spacious SUV with impressive specifications. The Torres EVX will be followed by several new models starting in 2025, which will further diversify and strengthen the product line.

Japan’s Isuzu has been a well-established player in the pickup market for years. In view of the upcoming BPM regulations, Isuzu is also focusing on introducing an electric pickup with a towing capacity of 3.5 tons, to be launched in the middle of next year.
