Motorhome fans beware: the new Transit Custom Nugget is a mini-apartment on wheels
More of everything
Ford is further expanding the range of new Transit Custom Nugget motorhomes.
For this, Ford has once again joined forces with renowned motorhome expert Westfalia.
The most important news?
A longer wheelbase.
This offers more interior space, additional options and even more camping fun.
Camping Kitchen
The new, longer Nugget comes with extra kitchen space, perfect for culinary campers who also like to play chef on the campsite.
The worktop is larger and there is more storage space so that all the cooking utensils can go with it.
The entire camper has become more spacious, with a larger closet in the living area, for example.
For those adventurers who like to go completely off-grid, there is a version with a built-in toilet.
Hot water
Both the regular-wheelbase and longer-wheelbase variants offer luxury features, including a kitchen sink with integrated cooktop, a sink and a hot water heater as standard.
The interior also features heated swivel front seats, a refrigerator and wider beds with optional heating of the lower bed.
In addition, there is a tilt indicator that you can view on the infotainment screen, making it easy to level the vehicle on uneven surfaces.
PHEV
In addition to the extra space, Ford now offers a plug-in hybrid option for the Nugget.
Already familiar from the Ford Kuga Plug-In Hybrid, this PHEV powertrain combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson gasoline engine with an 11.8 kWh battery and electric motor, together good for 171 kW (233 hp).
How far the Nugget can drive all-electric is not yet known.
Those interested can soon take a look at Westfalia Campercentrum in Barneveld.
From August 30 to September 8, all new variants will be at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, in Halle 16 to be exact.
