MG S6 EV debuts at Brussels Motor Show: here’s what we already know
MG S6 EV
The MG S6 EV is a new, spacious and – according to the manufacturer – generously equipped C-segment SUV. It is the third model to use MG’s Modular Scalable Platform that was first applied to the MG4 Electric. This platform guarantees dynamic handling and plenty of space. The MG S6 EV will make its appearance in Dutch showrooms in early 2026. Prices and technical details are not yet known.
In fact, already presented
In the United Kingdom, the MG S6 EV was presented some time ago. Therefore, the photos you see in this article are of the RHD model. In other words, the model with the steering wheel on the “wrong side. We have also come across one in a parking garage before, although that specimen was still subtly camouflaged.

Luggage space
The MG S6 EV has a luggage space of 674 liters. There is an additional 124-liter storage compartment (frunk) at the front, intended for everyday items such as shopping bags or charging cables. Inside, the rear space can be flexibly partitioned, creating a total of 1,910 liters of cargo capacity on the SE and Trophy Long Range versions (UK specifications). Trophy models also feature ambient lighting, an 11-speaker audio system and suede-effect upholstery.

Modular Scalable Platform
The MG S6 EV sits on the Modular Scalable Platform, a platform developed specifically for electric propulsion. Under the floor is a 77 kWh flat battery. Depending on version, the car achieves a range of up to 329 miles according to the WLTP test cycle. That works out to about 529 kilometers. The actual value may vary due to factors such as temperature, driving style, loading and accessories. The braking system combines Integrated Braking System and Kinetic Energy Recovery System to recover energy while driving. The Trophy Dual Motor variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
On the menu are two powertrains:
- 77 kWh RWD 180kW (245 hp) 1-SPEED AUTOMATIC
- 77 kWh AWD 266kW (362 hp) 1-SPEED AUTOMATIC
fast charging
All versions support fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in a specified time of 38 minutes, measured under standard test conditions with a 150 kW charger. In practice, charging conditions may vary due to battery state, temperature and charging capacities of available charging points. The MG S6 EV offers rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending on the chosen version. Drivers can choose from driving modes Normal, Sport, Eco, Snow and Custom. In addition, there are five levels of regenerative braking, including a single-pedal mode.
Interior MG S6 EV
The interior features a dual-screen setup with a 12.8-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch driver’s display. For the first time within the brand, a Head-Up Display is available, depending on the trim level. Physical buttons remain present for key functions. The car is equipped with a 360-degree HD camera that reveals the environment around the car through four wide-angle cameras. Ultrasound sensors help warn of obstacles and dynamic assist functions assist in reversing and parking.
MG iSMART offers interior pre-conditioning features and supports wireless smartphone pairing via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Trophy models also have access to integrated apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and TikTok. Depending on the trim level, features such as keyless entry, a power tailgate and a wireless phone charger are available.
Five-star rating at Euro NCAP
The MG S6 EV earned a Five-Star rating at Euro NCAP. The model has seven airbags, including a central airbag. The braking system, developed by Continental, should allow a braking distance of 36 meters from 62 mph to a stop on the rear-wheel-drive models. MG Pilot includes several driver assistance systems, such as Active Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection. Drivers can save personal settings through MG Pilot Custom and easily reuse them.
