Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition: tasty but pricey
AMG Green Hell Magno
Of particular note for the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition is the exclusive paintwork AMG Green Hell Magno. This color was not previously available for the compact models. Added to that is a foil with large lettering “A 45 S” on the doors and the AMG emblem on the hood. In short: to look at, this Mercedes-AMG A45 Limited Edition is a fat little bombshell.
Unique wheels
The “Limited Edition” features matte black 19-inch seven-double-spoke forged AMG rims exclusive to the Edition. The spokes of the wheels are accented with a yellow contrast color. Matching the color of the rims, the brake calipers of the high-performance AMG brake system are glossy black and feature white AMG logos. Other refined details include the exclusive fuel cap with AMG logo and the light projector that shines the AMG logo on the ground when entering and exiting the vehicle.
Three equipment packages
Three equipment packages further enhance the “Limited Edition.
The AMG night package: striking design elements in black and high-gloss black underline the expressive vehicle character. Included are the front splitter, door mirrors and door tops. Heat-reflective, dark-tinted windows from the B-pillar upward round out the package.
The AMG Night Package II: the numerous details of this package make the vehicle a real eye-catcher. These include the dark-colored bars of the grille and numerous exterior elements in black chrome: the type designation on the front mudguards and tailgate, the Mercedes star and, exclusively for the Edition de, also the door handles and the Mercedes stars in the wheel hub caps.
The AMG aerodynamics package: the AMG aerodynamics package developed in the wind tunnel includes special exterior components and a fixed AMG rear wing. Together, they increase downforce and improve handling at high speeds.
Interior Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition
The interior of the “Limited Edition” is also strikingly designed: the AMG Performance seats are upholstered in a combination of leather look Artico and microfiber Microcut black. Yellow trim seams on the seats, door panels and dashboard create attractive contrasts. So are the stitched emblems with the “45 S” label on the front headrests.

The AMG Performance steering wheel in leather/microfiber Microcut with yellow trim seams and the aluminum trim parts with AMG pattern and yellow ‘AMG’ lettering add further accents to the interior. The AMG door sill panels also demonstrate attention to detail. They feature a black AMG pattern and a yellow illuminated AMG logo. AMG floor mats with lettering “45 S” and yellow trim round out the interior upgrade.
Performance
The A 45 S 4MATIC+ sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is capped at 270 km/h. The 310 kW (421 hp) strong 2.0-liter four-cylinder AMG turbo engine impresses not only with its high performance but also with its spontaneous response.
AMG Performance 4Matic+ with AMG Torque Control
The fully variable all-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4Matic+ with AMG Torque Control makes an important contribution to the dynamic driving experience: the rear axle drive includes two electronically controlled lamellar clutches. Each is connected to a driveshaft on the rear axle. This allows variable distribution of drive power not only between the front and rear axles, but also selectively between the left and right rear wheels.
