Mazda unveils updated Mazda3 and CX-30 for 2025 model year
New hybrid powertrain: 2.5l e-Skyactiv G
The biggest news among the updated models is the introduction of the 2.5l e-Skyactiv G engine, equipped with Mazda’s Mild-Hybrid technology. This 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, also available in the Mazda CX-5, features a high compression ratio, cylinder deactivation and the M-Hybrid system. Usable torque at low to medium speeds has increased significantly, which the brand says provides a dynamic driving experience without sacrificing emissions and fuel economy. For those looking for more power, the 2.0-liter e-Skyactiv X engine with 186 hp remains available.
Alexa
The Mazda3 and CX-30 are now equipped with Alexa voice control, allowing drivers to communicate hands-free with their car. In addition, both models feature an advanced navigation system with both offline and online capabilities. This system provides access to millions of Points of Interest (POIs) and optimized route searches.
