Major update for van version Volkswagen ID. buzz
More power
Volkswagen has equipped the ID.
Buzz Cargo with a brand new electric motor that delivers a whopping 60 kW (82 hp) more than before: 210 kW (286 hp) instead of 150 kW (204 hp).
Torque also increases: to 560 Nm.
What does this mean in practice?
Simple: more payload and higher towing capacity.
You can now carry up to 750 kg of cargo, and the maximum towing weight has increased to 1,200 kg.
Less important: top speed increases from 145 km/h to 160 km/h.
Efficiency
The electric motor of the updated ID.
Buzz Cargo is not an unknown.
We have seen it before in other Volkswagen models, such as the renewed ID.4.
This motor is not only more powerful, but also more efficient in energy consumption.
With the new, larger battery of 79 kWh (instead of 77 kWh), you can now travel a distance of 459 kilometers with the ID Buzz Cargo.
Charging is much faster: in just 30 minutes you charge the battery from 10% to 80%, thanks to an increased charging capacity of 185 kW.
More tech
The updated ID.
Buzz Cargo features an updated infotainment system with a 33 cm touchscreen.
The voice assistant uses ChatGPT, making it possible to adjust the temperature, control the volume and ask questions via voice.
In terms of safety, Lane Assist, traffic sign recognition with speed assistant and preparation for an alcohol lock are now standard features.

Buzz Cargo is available from 43,500 euros excluding VAT for the Economy Edition.
The Cargo variant starts at 50,300 euros, while the Bulli Edition is available from 49,990 euros.
