Lynk & Co 02 is 100% electric crossover with very competitive price
Lynk & Co 02
The all-new Lynk & Co 02 marks the next chapter of Lynk & Co. “The all-new 02 represents the next phase for Lynk & Co,” said Nicolas López Appelgren, CEO of Lynk & Co International. “We are expanding our business model, increasing our product portfolio and entering new markets. These strategic moves underscore Lynk & Co’s commitment to increasing choice, flexibility and accessibility for our customers.”
Design studio in Gothenburg
Created at Lynk & Co’s design studio in Gothenburg, the all-new model came to life thanks to a unique collaboration between customers of the Lynk & Co 01 plug-in hybrid SUV and the brand’s design and engineering teams, according to the brand. Customers significantly influenced the character of the new car, with more than 6,000 messages on the most desired features through the Co:lab feature – one of Lynk & Co’s apps that allows users to provide digital feedback from within the 01. In terms of design, the 02 does have traits of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.
SEA platform
The Lynk & Co 02 is being built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Archietecture (SEA). The bottom section of the car houses a 66 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery, good for a range of up to 445 kilometers. The battery can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in just thirty minutes with a 150 kW DC charger.
Performance Lynk & Co 02
The car has a length of 4.46 meters, a width of 1.84 meters and a height of 1.57 meters. The wheelbase is 2.75 meters. Under the hood is a 200 kW (272 hp) and 343 Nm electric motor. There is a choice of Eco, Comfort, Sport and Individual driving modes. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds. The braked towing weight comes out to 1,600 kilograms.
Sales launch
The Lynk & Co 02 goes on sale online in Europe from Oct. 11, with a retail price in the Netherlands starting at 35,995 euros. That’s sharp, especially compared to the Volvo EX30. There will also be a More version with a 22 kW onboard charger, Harman Kardon speakers, 20-inch wheels and a 360-degree camera. That one is expected to cost 39,995 euros. For now, the 02 is not available for subscription; you can buy or lease it.
