Kia’s gasoline flagship is almost a thing of the past
Kia Stinger
The Kia Stinger was Kia’s absolute flagship during its introduction. Sensual looks, driving characteristics of a sports car and also practical. In short: quite a complete package. But all great things come to an end. The Kia Stinger will soon wave goodbye after Kia has produced all 1,000 copies of the Stinger Tribute Edition.
Tribute Edition
The Tribute Edition is based on the GT variant with twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine with 368 hp and 510 Nm of pulling power. To Nederlan, the Stinger Tribute Edition is not coming. Here, the model has been removed from the price list for some time due to the sky-high CO2 tax the buyer has to pay for the model. The V6 variant quickly went toward 100,000 euros.
New flagship from Kia
There is one consolation, though: Kia’s next flagship is already ready: the EV6. In particular, the EV6 GT. It costs 69,295 euros and has 585 hp of system power. The all-electric crossover sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has an impressive top speed of 260 km/h. A 77.4 kWh battery with 800V fast-charging capability allows you to charge from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes on paper. A full battery charge will get you 424 kilometers (WLTP).
