Jaguar Type 00: sensational or…

Unmistakable, unexpected and startling. With those three words Jaguar unveils this Type 00, which could also have been the following three words: bizarre, thought-provoking and unconventional. This car is making tongues wag, especially on social media. There are mixed feelings among loyal Jaguar drivers. One person finds this Jaguar Type 00 sensational, while another Jaguar driver prefers to look the other way.

Type Zero Zero

The Jaguar Type 00 – pronounced Type Zero Zero – is primarily intended to create attention around the “new Jaguar. It has succeeded, as this car is attracting attention. The double zero represents zero emissions and ‘car zero’ status in the new model line. The car was presented during Miami Art Week, with South Florida being the center of the art world for six days. In Miami, Jaguar’s transformation into an all-electric brand enters a new phase, “on its way to a family of highly desirable and exclusive models,” as Jaguar itself describes it.

Jaguar Electrical Architecture: JEA

The car features a long hood, flowing roofline, 23-inch alloy wheels, fastback profile and “boat-tail. This distinct design was created by the Jaguar Electrical Architecture (JEA). The new and unique JEA architecture was developed from scratch. The first production model of the new Jaguar generation will be a four-door GT to be presented in late 2025. Jaguar is targeting a driving range of up to 770 km (WLTP) and the ability to charge 321 km of driving range in just 15 minutes.

Catchy colors for Jaguar Type 00

The Jaguar Type 00 is presented in two contrasting interpretations of Jaguar’s new design vision. It’s safe to call that historic, as Jaguar did the same with two Jaguar E-types at their premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961. The version in Satin Rhodon Rose color – dubbed “Miami Pink” in honor of the pastel colors of that city’s iconic Art Deco architecture – was inspired by the characteristic pink color that brass takes on as it ages. The other copy comes in Inception Silver Blue, also known as “London Blue. This version, in turn, was inspired by the Opalescent Silver Blue of the 1960s to emphasize Jaguar’s British roots.
