Is Volkswagen Caddy now the ideal family car?

January 3, 2025

For the whole family

You know the Caddy as a popular commercial vehicle, coming to deliver your pizza or packages. But as a Caddy Kombi, it offers room for up to seven people and a lot of luggage. The Maxi variant adds a longer wheelbase (+21.5 cm), resulting in even more legroom in the rear and an impressive luggage space of 3,105 liters.

Who is the Caddy Kombi suitable for?

The new Caddy Kombi seems cut out for families looking for a spacious, flexible car – with optional seven seats – while reducing emissions and driving electric regularly. The Caddy Kombi comes standard with an eHybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor. Thanks to a sizable battery pack, you can drive up to 122 kilometers (WLTP) electrically, allowing you to cover longer stretches on electricity. Moreover, it can do something few PHEVs can: fast charging. Along the highway, you can pump extra miles into the battery pack with up to 40 kW of charging power.

Three versions

Volkswagen offers the Caddy Kombi in three versions: Kombi, Life and Style. The base version Kombi is already equipped with features such as automatic air conditioning, a 10-inch navigation system and Keyless-Go. The Life adds extra comfort and style, with such features as black accents, folding tables behind the front seats and alloy wheels. Going for luxury? Then the Style is the most complete choice, with LED lighting, a rearview camera and heat-resistant glass.

When in the showroom?

The Volkswagen Caddy Kombi can be ordered from the dealer immediately. It will be in the showroom from the end of February. Prices start at 37,990 euros. For the larger Combi Maxi, the brand is asking a minimum of 41,090 euros.
