Hyundai cars now signal when emergency service is on the way
How it works.
EVA alerts motorists driving a new Hyundai via the audio system to indicate that an emergency vehicle is approaching. This well before you hear the bellowing sound of a siren. Currently, the system alerts for ambulances, but in the future it will also alert fire trucks and road inspectors. Hyundai will roll out the system throughout Europe, but the Netherlands has the scoop.

Hyundai is the first automaker to integrate this EVA technology directly into new models, without the need to download a separate app. Those who have a new Hyundai, such as the new Santa Fe, Tucson, Ioniq 5 or Kona, can download and activate the Eva system in the car.
Why is this important?
Every second counts in an emergency. When cars respond faster to approaching emergency services, it can literally save lives. Additionally, this system helps reduce congestion around emergency vehicles, which in turn benefits overall traffic flow.
