Hennessey Venom F5-M Roadster has a manual transmission!
Hennessey Venom F5-M Roadster
The main purpose of the redesigned Hennessey Venom F5-M Roadster is to enhance driving feel.
A manual transmission is obviously the ideal tool for that.
Because you are then extra involved in the driving.
Hennessey engineers have worked hard to develop a manual transmission that can handle the 1,335 kW (1,817) hp Fury V8 engine.
Most powerful manual in the world
John Hennessey, company founder and CEO: “We are so excited to offer the Venom F5-M Roadster – the most powerful manual in the world. We always wanted to build a manual Venom F5 – and it’s something our customers have asked for. It’s old-school, tough and offers ultimate driving pleasure.”
John continued: “Driving the Venom F5 is a whole-body experience. We believe the Venom F5-M Roadster will be the most intense, immersive and extreme driving experience in the world. A dozen lucky customers got to ride with us!”
Gradual application of force
Working with the company’s experienced calibration team, Hennessey engineering guru Brian Jones re-mapped the engine to match the new gear ratios.
The gradual application of power to the rear wheels guarantees devastating acceleration, while power delivery is leveraged to gain control as speed increases.
Twelve Venom F5-M Roadsters
Only twelve Venom F5-M Roadster models see the light of day.
All have already been sold.
Price tag: $2.65 million.
All cars will have a unique color scheme exclusive to the model range.
In addition to each customer putting their own stamp on their car with unique colors and unique carbon fiber treatments, the manual Venom F5 will stand out from the rest of the lineup in numerous ways both inside and out.
Dorsal fin
One of the most striking differences is the addition of a massive 1,400-mm dorsal fin that extends from the roof-mounted air intake to the trailing edge of the rear deck.
In the cockpit, a redesigned interior shows off the raised shifter made of aluminum and carbon fiber – precisely positioned, close to the driver, to make perfect shifting easier.
The shifter is located in a place of honor in a six-speed transmission, milled from billet aluminum.
