From now on, 8-year warranty on every new Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi warranty: here’s how it works
Mitsubishi Motors’ new warranty is made up of 5 years of factory warranty (standard) and another 3 years of additional warranty. The additional part becomes applicable when the car has turned five years old or passed 100,000 kilometers before then. The additional warranty applies if the car is periodically serviced in accordance with factory specifications at an authorized Mitsubishi dealer or service center in the Netherlands. After the maintenance service, the additional warranty is always extended by 12 months.
The warranty applies for the first 8 years or until the car reaches the 160,000 kilometer mark. Additionally, Mitsubishi owners receive one year of 24/7 roadside assistance throughout Europe.
8-year battery warranty
The high-voltage (HV) battery on the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (as of model year 2016), Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV, Mitsubishi ASX HEV and PHEV, and the Mitsubishi COLT HEV carries a manufacturer’s warranty of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. Mitsubishi Motors also offers an 8-year (or 160,000 kilometers) warranty on the capacity of the HV battery.
Transparency for customers
“We choose absolute transparency in terms of warranty conditions. So with us, customers know exactly which items are included and excluded in the warranty conditions,” said Roland van Banning, Managing Director at Mitsubishi Motors Netherlands.
