From cute to street beast: Citroën Ami gets extreme makeover!
Citroën Ami
For those who didn’t already know: the Citroën Ami is a tiny, all-electric car/mobile designed for short trips around town or beyond.
It is not for sale in the Netherlands, but its cousin, the Opel Rocks-e is.
The little car looks like it’s straight out of a Pixar movie: cute, functional, and anything but a speed demon.
But that didn’t stop creative YouTuber Josh Gresswell from turning this little Ami into a serious eye-catcher.
Transformation: lower, wider, BBS-er
The first step in this unusual makeover?
Lowering, of course!
Since the Ami already has a low center of gravity by itself (and not much room to go even lower), this was a challenge.
But thanks to air suspension and some ingenuity, the YouTuber managed to bring the Ami a lot closer to the asphalt.
BBS
But that wasn’t all.
To accentuate the Ami’s new stance, a set of shiny BBS wheels were put underneath.
The contrasts could not be greater: the robust, classic look of the BBS rims against the playful and compact shape of the Ami creates a look that is both confusing and fantastic.
