Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Ford is off the track, in a positive sense
Performance-SUV with mud boots
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is what you call a performance SUV with mud boots. We already know the powertrain from the Mustang Mach-E GT. It consists of two electric motors. Ford did change the powertrain slightly. The brand aims for at least 880 Nm of system torque and a system output of 358 kW. The Mustang Mach-E Rally has a lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of 91 kWh. Nothing is yet known about the range.
Features Ford Mustang Mach-E GT
The suspension is 20 millimeters higher than the Mustang Mach-E GT. Furthermore, this Rally version features its own suspension set-up, MagneRide shock absorbers and front Brembo 385-millimeter brake discs with red calipers.
Not to be missed: white wheels
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally features unmissable glossy white 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels. The wheels are fitted with 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, which have a larger sidewall compared to the GT version and offer better grip on loose surfaces.
Focus RS-style rear spoiler
The car is further characterized by a large rear wing inspired by that of the Focus RS. Other details include striking contrast accents on both the top and bottom of the body, a unique front spoiler, a black painted steel roof and a distinctive and functional front bumper with built-in rally-inspired fog lights.
Colors
Ford delivers each Mustang Mach-E Rally standard with two racing stripes that complement the bold color choices. The car is available in Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Eruption Green, the eye-catching Grabber Yellow or at extra cost in Star White or the new Glacier Gray.
Protection
With heavy off-road use in mind, Ford finishes the underbody with protective plates around the front and rear electric motors. In addition, a protective film layer was applied to the door panels and wheel arches to prevent paint damage. Mud flaps are among the options to minimize the spreading of dirt and stone chips.
RallySport driving mode
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally features Ford’s first-ever RallySport driving mode. This driving mode adjusts the electronic control systems to allow a larger slip angle.
Interior Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally
Interior features include glossy white accents on the dashboard, the lower spokes of the steering wheel and contrast stitching on the doors. Ford-designed sport seats with glossy white seat backs and the “Mach-E Rally” inscription in the seat complete the Rally party.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available for order beginning in early 2024. Delivery to customers will begin shortly thereafter. Ford will announce the price soon.
