FIAT comes out with tricycle, no joke! – FIAT TRIS
Technical characteristics and design
The FIAT TRIS is available in three variants: a chassis cab, a flatbed and a pickup. These configurations are designed to support various business applications, including freight transport and custom solutions. The pickup is suitable for transporting materials such as food, sand or furniture. The other two versions can be customized for specific purposes.
The vehicle is 3.17 meters long and has a turning radius of 3.05 meters, making it suitable for use in busy urban environments. The cargo area is approximately 2.25 m² and can accommodate a standard euro pallet. The maximum payload is 540 kg (RCE-approved), with a total authorized mass of 1,025 kg.
Battery and drive FIAT TRIS
The TRIS is equipped with a 6.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, similar to that in the Fiat Topolino. The battery supports a range of 90 km according to the WMTC standard. Charging can be done via a standard 220V outlet, without external charging equipment. From 0 to 80% charging takes about 3.5 hours; full charging takes 4 hours and 40 minutes.
The electric drive consists of a 48V motor with a peak power of 9 kW and a maximum torque of 45 Nm. The maximum speed is 45 km/h. Stability is enhanced by a wide rear axle, long wheelbase and 12-inch tires.

Ease of use and comfort
The cabin is designed with ergonomics and accessibility in mind. There is ample space for the driver, and the entry is low, which is convenient for frequent entry and exit. Additional features include a digital 5.7-inch screen, storage compartments, USB-C and 12V connectors, and an LED lighting system with a recognizable design.
Applications and availability
The TRIS is aimed at small business owners, the self-employed and companies in urban areas. With its compact size, low cost of ownership and lease-to-own option, the vehicle is intended as an accessible solution for professional use in growing economies.
The vehicle meets European safety standards and is equipped with three-point seat belts, a reversing warning and lights with automatic activation when starting, among other features. Future versions are also likely to support connected services, such as fleet management and vehicle tracking.
