Fastned welcomes more vacationers: more Dutch traveling with EVs

August 1, 2024

France

France in particular is proving a popular destination for Dutch travelers with an EV, with a whopping 46.5% increase in charging sessions.
Fastned is responding to the growing trend by opening three new fast-charging stations along busy vacation routes.
Vacationers can now charge at station de Guer on the N24 near Rennes, station de Puiseux Pontoise on the A15 north of Paris and in Belgium along the E314 near Maasmechelen.

More relaxed

Fastned is also launching a summer campaign to help vacationers make their trip as relaxing as possible.
In the Fastned app, Fastned shares tips, backseat games and travel advice to make the trip itself an enjoyable experience.
It also lists the locations of the three hundred Fastned charging stations and 150,000 other charging stations in Europe.

Commercial director Lieke Duijmelings says: “This year we are seeing more families going on vacation with their electric car for the first time. We want to show people who find this exciting beforehand that going on vacation with an electric car is actually quite possible. In fact, on a long trip, charging stops make your trip more relaxing.”
