Eysing retro moped with design by Pininfarina
Eysing is a Dutch company founded by four childhood friends from Vught. These put their heads together in 2017 and began designing and building for themselves an e-bike based on a classic 1938 Dutch Eysink motorcycle, the Alpenjager. By the way, one of the investors of the time is Martin Eijsink, one of the descendants of the founders of motorcycle brand Eysink from Amersfoort.
Prototypes of Eysing
The foursome screwed together three driving Eysing Pioneer prototypes and showed them off at the 2018 Masters Expo in Amsterdam. Interest was overwhelming and that was the beginning of the Eysing Company.
Scale
Pioneer production began in 2020 in a hall in Den Bosch. A year later, an assembly line was rigged up in Geffen. A Tailor Made program was also launched that same year. Buyers (online) were given the opportunity to choose from a variety of specifications and colors. Business was crescendoing and so further scaling was necessary.
Back to Vught again
By 2021, the Eysing Company has created an independent production facility with RDW approval and EU type approval has also been obtained. Moving to a larger production facility was a must, so in 2022 they moved back to Vught, N-Brabant, where it all began in 2017.
Collaboration Pininfarina
Since this year, Eysing has been collaborating with international dealers and also with Pininfarina, resulting in the sleeker and sportier shaped Eysing PF40. It is the most exclusive moped of this brand and this is reflected in its price of more than 13,780 euros (ex. VAT). For that you do get an Eysing with cast wheels and a more powerful 2.0 kW engine plus a driving range of 100 km. As with the other models, the maximum speed is 45 mph. The basic version Eysing Pioneer travels up to 80 km on a full charge and has a 1.5 kW motor. By the way, you can get a Pioneer starting at 7,070 euros (ex. VAT).
