EV Experience 2025: Tesla Model Y Performance in the spotlight

October 2, 2025

The most powerful Tesla Model Y

With the launch of the new Model Y Performance, Tesla is introducing an impressive upgrade for its most popular model: the regular Tesla Model Y.

Interior

In addition to the new features that are standard on all Model Y versions, which include a glass panoramic roof with soundproof glass for the entire interior, an 8-inch rear touchscreen, seats with power reclining backrests in the second row of seats, Autopilot and wireless software updates, the new Model Y Performance features:

Maximum performance for Tesla Model Y Performance

The new Tesla Model Y Performance delivers 298 kW (460 hp), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. Despite its considerable power, the car has a modest fuel consumption of 16.2 kWh/100 km and a WLTP range of 580 km. So it is one of the most efficient performance EVs you can buy as a consumer.

Improved chassis components

The new Model Y Performance benefits from improved chassis components. Thanks to new springs, stabilizer bars and bushings, the suspension should feel more intuitive and dynamic. Adaptive suspension uses a brand new control algorithm that ensures a balanced ride. The suspension adjusts in real time to driver and road inputs, making the car perform even better.

The car also has customizable driving modes. These modes affect the adaptive suspension, stability assist, traction control and vehicle dynamics control. All settings are easily accessible through the intuitive central touchscreen, allowing for quick adjustments to the vehicle dynamics. The Tesla Model Y Performance is available for $62,990.
